Campers must be signed in and out of each camp (ID may be required). We cannot accommodate early drop-off.

Parking is available in any open spot in front of the building for drop-off and pick-up. For everyone’s safety, please park your vehicle fully before letting your child out to walk into the studio. Please walk your camper inside for check-in.

Because our camps are structured studio-based enrichment sessions, we do not offer childcare services or extended-day programming outside of scheduled camp hours. During the time between camps, our staff is eating a quick lunch and setting up for the afternoon camp, unfortunately we cannot offer break supervision for campers during the break for extended supervision after camp.

Our camps work best for kids who are 5 years old at the camp start date AND currently enrolled in kindergarten (including homeschool). For summer children should be 5 years old at the start of the camp date AND entering kindergarten in the fall (including in a homeschool setting)

Our camps are designed as immersive hands-on art and maker studio experiences lasting approximately 3.5 hours. Campers tend to have the best experience when they’re ready to participate comfortably in a group studio environment.. Here are a few “good signs” to keep in mind as you decide if camp is the right fit right now:

• They can transition into the studio environment with little or gentle support
  
  

• They must use the restroom independently (wiping, pulling up clothing, washing hands) and can tell a teacher they need to go before it becomes urgent
  
  

• They can follow simple directions and studio routines
  
  

• They’re ready to try basic tools and materials with guidance (scissors, glue, tape, hole punch, stapler, paint tools, low-temp hot glue gun and simple hand tools as appropriate)
  
  

• They can practice safe studio behavior and respect personal space in a shared creative environment
  
  

• They can participate in a group (listening, taking turns, sharing materials)
  
  

• They can help with clean-up and care for shared supplies
  
  

If you’re unsure, we’re happy to help you think it through—every kid develops at their own pace, and we want camp to feel like a confident “yes” for your maker.

We love welcoming all kinds of makers and creative learners into our studio. If your child may benefit from accommodations or additional support within the studio environment (sensory considerations, seating preferences, communication supports, etc.), please share details in the “Tell Us About Your Maker” section during registration. This helps our instructors thoughtfully prepare materials, studio routines, and creative supports to help campers have a successful and enjoyable experience.

ArtWork is a hands-on maker studio where creativity, curiosity, and artistic exploration come to life. Our studio is designed to support focused making, creative confidence, and hands-on learning through art and design. In our space, makers will have:

• Dedicated maker stations and creative studio workspaces
• Kid-safe tools and materials with clear studio routines and guided instruction
• A clean, welcoming environment designed for hands-on creativity and project work
• Thoughtfully organized spaces that support a variety of learning and creative styles

Here’s the rhythm of our day (times may flex slightly depending on the group):

• 8:20–8:30 am(12:50-1:10) Arrival + studio warm-up
  creative warm-up activities, sketchbook prompts, and maker planning

• 8:30–9:00 am (1:00p-1:30pm)Introductions and routines

• 9:00-9:30 am ( 1:30-2:00pm) Demonstrations and creative planning

• 9:30–10:30 am (2:00-3:00pm) Guided project work (skill-building + project work)

• 10:30-10:45 am (3:00-3:15pm) Snack break

• 10:45–11:40 am  (3:15- 4:10pm) Guided project work, creative exploration, and studio practice

• 11:40-11:50 am (4:10–4:20pm) Clean-up + reflection

11:50-12:00 am (4:20–4:30pm) Pick-up

To support meaningful project-based learning and consistent studio groups, summer camp registration is for the four-day session.

Because camps run Monday through Thursday, Fridays may occasionally feature separate open studio workshops, specialty maker sessions, or guided creative labs with independent registration and themed projects.

Campers should bring:

• A full water bottle

• Optional: Preferred Snack

• Clothing for mess

Allergy note: Please list allergies in Sawyer. If your child has severe allergies, email us so we can plan supports and safe routines.

What Should My Camper Wear?
We always say: dress for mess! Making is joyful, hands-on, and sometimes a little messy.

• Clothes you don’t mind getting paint, glue, or creative messes on
• Closed-toe shoes are required in our maker studio to help protect little toes from dropped tools, splashes, and small materials used during projects

At ArtWork, we intentionally design many of our maker camps as mixed-age creative studio groups. This studio-style environment allows younger makers to learn through observation and experimentation while older makers build confidence through leadership, collaboration, and sharing creative ideas.

Why it works:

• Projects are designed with flexible entry points and creative challenges so makers can work at their own pace and skill level

• Peer learning happens naturally through collaboration, modeling, encouragement, and shared creative problem-solving

• Mixed-age studio groups help foster creativity, confidence, communication, and a supportive maker culture

We want to offer makers the opportunity to learn from mistakes—and that includes practicing how to handle conflict. Our staff uses calm, clear expectations and quick coaching to help kids reset, use kind words, and solve problems respectfully.

Because safety comes first at ArtWork, aggressive, threatening, bullying, or unsafe behavior is not tolerated. If a camper’s actions put themselves or others at risk, we may call for early pick-up if needed, and/or dismissal from camp (without refund).

Our Camper-to-staff ratio is 10:1, for small-group instruction and individualized creative support. 

Your child’s safety matters deeply to us.

• Instructors are background-checked and trained

• Instructors are CPR/First Aid certified (as applicable to your program)

• Instructors are trained in studio routines, project-based instruction, tool safety, and hands-on art and maker education.

• Instructors are trained to avoid one-on-one situations with campers; if individual support is needed, it happens in an open, observable space with others nearby.

Yes—ArtWork does have limited funds available for financial assistance on a first come first serve instance. If cost is a barrier, please email our team at info@artworklbk.com

 We know life happens—vacations, illnesses, and busy family schedules come up. If your maker misses a day, we’ll do our best to help them jump back into their creative projects or send home materials when possible.

Because camp registration reserves studio space, materials, and project preparation for the full session, we’re unable to offer make-up days, refunds, credits, or prorated tuition for missed camp days.

• Tuition: $195–$220 per 4-day (Monday–Thursday) half-day studio session (morning or afternoon)

• Sibling Discount: Families registering multiple siblings receive 10% off for the first sibling and 5% off additional siblings from the same household

• Before April 30th:  Full refund minus a $30 administrative fee per session

On/after May 1: Tuition is non-refundable unless your spot is filled from the waitlist

We are happy to make camp changes depending on availability.

ArtWork aims to create a space to spark creativity and build new skills while giving children opportunities to take ownership and build confidence through hands-on builds.  Makers will bring home a variety of projects based on their camp’s theme and materials. 

No two makes are the same and will vary based on age and skill. Just remember we focus on the process over perfection. We want makers to leave proud that what they make is their own!
