At ArtWork we believe creativity is serious work. Our studio is a space where people of all ages can build confidence, focus, and pride through the creative process. This is a place to work on things that matter, one project at a time.

We know change can be bittersweet, but exciting things lie ahead! ArtWork is a new creative studio and make room, located in the same great studio location you know and love. We are thrilled to continue offering classes for artists and makers of all ages, and honored to carry forward the tradition of joyful, hands-on learning that Miss Megan’s Make Room has provided our community for the last 8 years. While the magic Miss Megan is truly one of a kind, we hope ArtWork will continue to be a place where creativity abounds and every artist feels at home. Meet the New Teacher
Hello I’m Serena
I am humbled and thrilled to have the opportunity to continue the creative legacy of the lovely Miss Megan. I grew up here in Lubbock, and attended Texas Tech university, where I studied studio art and art education. I have over a decade of experience in art education and love creating with my students and family. I endeavor to instill a love of art in others through the thoughtful work of creating. SEPTEMBER CLASS THEMES
LOVE WHERE YOU MAKE
Makers and artists in Make Make, Doodle Bugs, and Sketch Society will be inspired by all things local. Prairie dog and burring owl stuffies, cardboard cacti, wind toys, game day crafts and makes that celebrate Lubbock’s rich musical history. We will celebrate the sights, sounds, and spirt of Lubbock.
CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTUR-ER
Craft Quest kids will step into a world of their own making. Inspired by epic tales and RPGs, adventurers will create unique characters complete with names, backstories, and special gear. From map making to crafting armor, weapons, treasure and loot, each week is packed with hands-on fun and storytelling magic.
A NEW WAY TO SCHOOL
Inspired by playful and open-ended design philosophy, this month’s Design + Build creators challenge invites young makers to dream up and build their own way to get to school. Students will move through the full design process to arrive at a prototype build that is wildly unexpected!
